Dr. Anji Reddy is the Founder and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. He is also the Founder of Dr. Reddy’s Research Foundation and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation for Human and Social Development.

Dr. Anji Reddy has a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Andhra Christian College, Guntur. He completed his BSc (Tech) in Pharmaceutical Science from Bombay University and PhD from the National Chemical Laboratory, Pune (1967). Dr. Anji Reddy had six years experience in Indian Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited(IDPL) in the manufacture and implementation of new technologies in bulk drugs. After leaving IDPL in 1973, Dr. Anji Reddy pioneered a number of bulk drugs.

Dr. Anji Reddy is a member of both the Board of Trade and the Prime Minister’s Taskforce on pharmaceuticals and knowledge based industries. Dr. Anji Reddy was recently bestowed the Padmashri by the Government of India for his distinguished service in the field of trade and commerce. Apart from the Company’s subsidiaries, he is a Director in Diana Hotels Limited, ICICI Venture Funds, Biotech Consortium India Limited and Biomed Limited.
